We assess your chest and rule out medical causes where appropriate. The goal is a natural, contoured chest that fits your body and boosts your confidence.

Treatment overview
What it is
Gynecomastia (enlarged male breasts) can be due to excess fat, glandular tissue or both. When the issue is mainly fat, liposuction alone can flatten the chest. When glandular tissue is present—often felt as a firm disc under the nipple—excision is usually needed for a flat contour. This is often done through a small incision at the edge of the areola so the scar is inconspicuous. Liposuction and gland removal are frequently combined: lipo removes fat from the chest and surrounding area, and gland excision removes the firm tissue under the nipple.
In cases of significant skin excess (e.g. after major weight loss), skin removal may be recommended in addition, with longer scars. We tailor the plan to your anatomy. We may also suggest checking hormones or medications that can contribute to gynecomastia, so recurrence is less likely.
At The Sculptique Aesthetics we examine your chest, assess whether the enlargement is fat, gland or both, and discuss your goals. We will explain the recommended technique, incisions and recovery so you can make an informed decision.

Your suitability
Who it’s for
Ideal candidates are men with persistent breast enlargement that does not resolve with weight loss or time. Good candidates are at a stable weight (or have lost weight and the chest remains enlarged), in good general health and have realistic expectations. We may recommend a medical workup if we suspect hormonal or medication-related causes.
Teenagers with gynecomastia are sometimes advised to wait until growth and hormone levels have stabilised, unless the condition is severe and affecting well-being. During your consultation in Mumbai we will examine your chest, discuss your history and goals and recommend the best approach.

After your treatment
Recovery & results
A compression garment is typically worn for several weeks to support healing and reduce swelling. We will advise on activity, when you can resume exercise and how to care for the incisions. Swelling and bruising ease over two to four weeks. Strenuous chest exercise is usually avoided for a few weeks to protect healing.
Results are long-lasting when you maintain a stable weight. Removed fat and gland do not grow back. Weight gain can cause new fat elsewhere. If hormonal or medication causes were identified, addressing them helps reduce the chance of recurrence. We will give you a clear aftercare plan and follow-up.
Common questions
Frequently asked questions
Helpful answers about Male Gynecomastia, treatment and recovery.
Removed fat and gland do not grow back. Weight gain can cause new fat in other areas. If hormones or medications contributed, we may advise follow-up with your doctor to reduce the chance of recurrence. Your surgeon will discuss this at your consultation.
When the enlargement is mostly fat, liposuction may be enough. When glandular tissue is significant (often a firm disc under the nipple), excision is usually needed for a flat contour. Many men need both. Your surgeon will assess and recommend.
Gland removal is often through a small incision at the edge of the areola, so the scar is inconspicuous. Liposuction uses tiny incisions that heal to small marks. If skin removal is needed, scars will be longer; we will discuss this if relevant.
Light walking is encouraged early. Strenuous chest exercise and heavy lifting are usually avoided for 4–6 weeks to protect healing. We will give you a clear timeline at your post-operative visits.
When performed by experienced surgeons with appropriate technique, gynecomastia surgery is safe. We use sterile technique and tailor the procedure to your anatomy. We will explain risks and aftercare so you can make an informed decision.
