Buttock implants add volume and projection using solid silicone implants placed in the buttocks. At The Sculptique Aesthetics in Mumbai, our surgeons place implants either under the gluteal muscle (more common) or in the subcutaneous plane, depending on your anatomy and goals. Implants are an option when you want significant, permanent augmentation and either prefer them over fat transfer or do not have enough donor fat for a Brazilian butt lift.
We tailor implant size and position to your frame so the result looks natural and proportionate. A detailed consultation helps us recommend the right approach and explain recovery—including a period of avoiding direct pressure on the buttocks—so you can plan with confidence.
What it is
Buttock implant surgery involves placing solid silicone implants in a pocket—typically under the gluteal muscle (submuscular) for a natural look and lower risk of visible edges, or in the subcutaneous (fat) layer in selected cases. Incisions are usually in the crease between the buttock and the back or in the buttock crease so they are hidden. Implant size and shape are chosen to match your frame and desired projection.
Recovery includes avoiding prolonged direct sitting on the implants for several weeks to allow healing and reduce the risk of complications such as displacement or wound issues. We will give you specific instructions on sitting, sleeping and activity. Implants are permanent but can be exchanged or removed if you wish to change size or reverse the procedure.
At The Sculptique Aesthetics we assess your buttock shape and overall silhouette, discuss your goals and explain the pros and cons of implant vs fat transfer (BBL). We will recommend the best option for your body and expectations.
Who it's for
Ideal candidates want significant, permanent buttock augmentation and either prefer implants over fat transfer or do not have enough donor fat for a meaningful BBL. Good candidates are in good general health, at a stable weight and have realistic expectations about size, scarring and the need to avoid direct sitting for a period.
We assess your anatomy and discuss implant size—we do not over-size, as that can look unnatural and increase the risk of complications. During your consultation in Mumbai we will examine your buttocks and back, discuss your goals and explain the technique, recovery and long-term care.
Benefits
- Predictable, permanent volume without donor sites
- No dependence on fat survival; stable result
- Customised implant size and placement for your frame
- Option when BBL is not suitable (e.g. insufficient donor fat)
- Implants can be exchanged or removed if desired

Recovery & results
You will need to avoid prolonged direct sitting on the buttocks for a period (often 4–6 weeks) to allow healing. We will advise on special cushions, sleeping positions and when you can gradually resume sitting and exercise. Swelling eases over several weeks; final contour is visible once healing is complete.
Implants are permanent. They can be exchanged for a different size or removed if you choose. We will give you a clear aftercare plan and follow-up schedule. If you notice any change in position, pain or firmness, contact us for an assessment.
